I've been leading a tiring life ever since schl started.

But what fatigue does, is it lets you see your priorities more clearly.

& I've decided on mine. I've made efforts to brush myself up.

So far they've paid off, I feel like I'm an improved student.

But it comes @ a price. Maybe I've bit off more than I can chew.

If I could break myself into separate identities & moods & bodies,

If I could dedicate one of myself to each & every person in my life,

If I could be so fucking carefree/energetic/happy all the time,

If I could have more time to even give myself a decent social life,

If I could be what you remember best of me through all this stress,

Fucking believe me when I say this: I would. I would.

But I can't.

Fatigue, really makes you rethink everyth you have on your plate.

What you can or can't handle. What you need or can live without.

Sometimes, I just wish I could reverse some things.

So I shall blog about today, w the angmoh again!!!
Was actually planning to go to this place for some time already.
But as usual, it got postponed till today haha.

Synopsis: I have stupid irrational fears. Phobias, if you may.
So yep you might know I am DAMN scared of crocs. Serious.
Like when I'm in the pool alone I imagine one chasing me.

& I get out immediately. Ya loser4lyfe I know.

BUT, I also have this disgusting habit of scaring myself.....
Shit scared of ghosts, but #1 fan of horror movies LOLOL

TODAY I WENT TO THE CROC FARM.

Honestly it was nothing much, like the crocs were so.. lame.
I mean ya la still damn scary for me but they seemed miserable
Not to mention there were like only.. 10 crocs? Very little :/
Nonetheless I was still damn scared, & grossed out.
After tht we headed for munchies @ NEX, yum yum yum.
Decided not to head to chalet cause it was late & tuition tmrrr :(

Take a listen to my new blogsong.

It's unconventional, & different from the ones I normally use. Because it isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it was just too hauntingly beautiful to resist. Been looping it since I first heard it, along with the entire album it came from.

So, today's one of those days when I'm just.. really emotional. I'm not sad, I'm not regretful, nor am I remorseful. I am just overflowing with feeling. Take for example, while listening to Bon Iver (p.s. they're amazing. They have the exact same effect Elliott Smith has on me.. just makes me wanna write a book, drink tea, take a long walk in the rain & cry) I just heard every lyric, every strum, every stroke of the vibraphone, every bass line, & it rapidly flushed from my ears into my mind, dispersing & taking the form of scattered thoughts.

Thought about how I wanted to cry when it struck 12am on 1st Jan, thought about the new people I'd be meeting this year, thought about making out to good music (mmm), thought about the next shade of lacquer I'm gonna buy, thought about learning the guitar, thought about how amazing today's weather is, thought about the last time I smashed a coconut (haha, are you reading this?), thought about how I'm slowly losing my touch for photography & nail art, thought about which FOB lyric I'd wanna get tattooed on me, thought about my life thus far. Thought about how I am afraid to forget so many things, because I like the feeling of holding so much in my hands & knowing it all once belonged to me.

It felt good, just sitting out here in my balcony w my Macbook & a really good coffee. Soaking in the warm sunlight laced with a light breeze. Feeling strangely content, & overwhelmingly grateful.

There really isn't much of a point to all this, I just really wanted to put all this down somewhere in case someone relates to it. That would be great. It's nice to remember, sometimes, that no one is actually truly alone.

Basically I use these binders/files to contain all my notes & wkshts!!
I pretty much filter these everyday & some days I leave out certain subjs.
If you ask any JC student, they'll have an empty bag w a 1000kg file.
SO I do it the smart way & carry my notes sparsely = light bag ^_^

This year,

I met so many people who've come to mean so much to me.
I went through different experiences tht brought me closer to band.
I was brought into an entirely different schooling environment.
I knew what if felt like to be loved & to love whole-heartedly.
I found so many amazing people in my life.

I say this every year, & I'll say it again.
This wasn't the best of years, but it meant so much to me.
As always I will wish for a better year, & expect a meaningful one.

Life has treated me pretty good thus far.
I'm grateful for my 2011, grateful for every single person in my life.
I'm grateful for the opportunities I've received, the second chances.
I'm grateful for all my girls & boys & cats. ^_^

2012, let's hope you're a nice girl~~

東京 PART 3

Day 4 was DISNEYLAND!!!! Which imo owns Disneysea.
Spent literally our entire day there, left the place near 10pm!!
Bought a lot of cute stuff hehe, including my cheshire cat tail :3
Being there is really like a dream, & the weather was good.
Started to freeze when night fell, it hit below 10deg I swear :'(
But apart from tht, omg I love Disneylanddddddd................

Last full day was spent @ 雷门 temple & Shibuya for shopping!
Another great day w awesome food. Had the #1 udon on earth.
++ if you're ever going to Tokyo, TRY THEIR SOFT SERVE.
Every bloody flavour from any bloody shop tastes like *_____*
Liked this day cause of the awesome weather & blue skies.

1. I have serious difficulties putting my complete trust in people
when it comes to relationships.

2. You were the first & last time I ever felt like I knew who

One of the best gigs I've ever been to.

Okay so people have been requesting for this for some time.
& it took so long because I'm not yet quite familiar w Mac.....
So if it sucks.. I'm sorry, I tried my best D:

PHOTO EDITING TUTORIAL
Comp I use → MacBook Pro
Camera I use → Canon 550D
Software I use → GIMP for Mac

So I'm just gonna demonstrate how I normally edit my photos.
They're actually always pretty decent SOOC (straight out of cam),
but I tend to like more vibrant colours in my pix. So...........
I normally do a very mild version of cross-processing.
Okay so the steps are...............

1. Open your picture on GIMP.

2. Press on the "Colors" tab & select "Curves".

3. Choose each curve individually, & this is my sequence:
(1) RED - If your pic's overly saturated, try lowering it more.
(2) GREEN - Increasing the high part makes your pic brighter.
(3) BLUE - Decreasing it adds yellow tinges. Just a lil bit's okay.
(4) VALUE - I choose this last, cause it's just brightness.

4. If you want, edit the contrast a little bit & you're fine!

This is my end product :-)

@ the end of the day, editing really is like a photo's "make-up".
You can own a 1000 Canon 5D Mark IIs, but to have GREAT pix..
Editing is the thing tht really makes a world of difference.
& btw, don't always follow tht routine strictly!!
Sometimes the S-curve doesn't always bring out the best colours.
So edit accordingly to your pics' settings, & it should be fine :D

I still find it incredibly insulting when females are assumed to be the needy ones in a relationship. While it remains an undeniable fact tht some girls are needier than the malnutritioned, homeless orphans in Africa, there ARE other girls who find it perfectly ideal to live their lives without a partner because they can understand the concept tht love, in all other forms, is just as beautiful.

I do think it's completely amazing how some couples manage to think the world of each other every single day for so many years, & even though most of these cases exist within the pages of a novel, I haven't lost my faith in the fact tht I will one day be able to look another in the eye & tell them how important they are to me without the fear of them leaving the next moment. & I do hope for this feeling one day because from what I've heard.. it rocks.

But the fact is, I know I will always be able to make it on my own. I know I don't need another set of hands to hold my head up high, I know I don't need another pair of legs to keep me standing. Noone really NEEDS anyone else. I have my own set of lungs & a heart, & tht will do me just fine for the rest of my life (as it will for any other).

It's just sad, how many people fail to see this, because I, for one, have had enough of reading about girls ruining their lives over their stupid dipshit boyfriends who are just OVERFLOWING, OVERFLOWING(!!!!!!) w puberty & stupidity. It's just... bloody frustrating. & before you call me a feminist (which, okay fine, I kinda am), you can reverse all the genders in this post & my point remains. I wish everyone could choose the set of eyes they saw the world w.. then maybe our society wouldn't be so messed up.

Okay so my spontaneous rant has digressed to the point where the whole thing just doesn't really flow OR make any sense whatsoever hahahahahahahahahaha I'm just hoping you didn't notice. Gnightz xx ;-)

This post is just to show y'all how to take shaped bokeh!
& you'll realise how easy it is. Just takes 4 steps :-)

Take your lens cap & trace it out on black paper.
I used thin cardboard here cause it's stronger, so tht I can reuse it.

Cut it out, & leave a little tab @ the side! Just a small one.
You'll understand why later :-)

Cut out whatever shape you want in the middle.
Make sure it's not bigger than your lens' aperture!
(tht's the hole you see your images through)

Slip your "bokeh shape" onto your lens, & ta-da!!!
Make sure you can still see when you look through the viewfinder.
Then just turn on manual focus, & snap some chio bokeh ^_^
Oh & the tab is so you can remove it easily haha.

So yeh, I've had my fun w it & now you can too :-)
Very easy right!!! Sigh photog is so damn amazing.

Right, okay so I promised this post since quite long.
& I know my friends are prob gonna suan me like mad but..
here's a post about my studying habits!!!
Shan't use the word 'tips' cause if you heed them.........
You might, might end up like me (which is unadvisory).

Okay first off, I always forever clip up my hair when I study.
I don't understand how girls can stand their fringe there........
I get so damn annoyed @_@ But ya, cute clips hor???
Don't really use hairbands cause of my specs haha.
Yeh, I seriously have no idea why I buy so many ._.

Then I create a list, because ticking boxes = feeling of accomplishment.
LOL it's like damn shiok when I just tick tick tick everyth off~
Motivates me to keep going on just so I can tick more boxes ;-)
& in my planner I record down all my hmwk & stuff.. w BOXES. (hehe)
+ a page just for all my tests, so I can (sort of) keep track.. :/

Then I plug in my earphones, & blassssst some good music (Y)
Really helps me concentrate if not I confirm keep staring into space
& yeh I like this kind, not the suck-in type :S

Another essential is my beverageee~
For the past CTs I just kept spamming coffee cause I was DAMN slpy.
But I drink lots & lots of tea too, those packets above = my fav stuff.
The chekhup coffee thing is damn nice, esp for those who hate coffee~
(yeh I hate coffee actually, if it's w/o milk or sugar.. yucks)

& this is what's inside my magical pouch of stationery magic.
Have got loads of other kinds of stickers/post-its, but they can't fit :-(
So yeh, this is the kind of stuff I use to keep my planner pretty.
I use post-its a hell lot too, & they're so c0l0urf00lz~*~* *_*

SO TO START OFF, I read my lengthy, long-winded notes.
Then I highlight the important parts (only) which I know will be tested.
This is cause when I'm rereading it & summarising it up,
I'll know where to look. Cause reading bullshit 23092x = waste time
Then I start summarising them up into my own notes!

Mindmaps. Okay I hardly use mindmaps cause I don't like :/

For a subject like bio, I normally just write them in point forms,
w headings & subheadings & diagrams. Or mass spam post-its
For me I like to colour my bio notes if not they get too boring
& when they get too boring I start to zzzz & drool alll over my notes

BUT WHEN I GET SLEEPY.
I normally give myself a facial wash! Or when I'm too lazy,
I just wipe my face w the above ^^^^ Tea tree facial wipes!
It stings a little & is damn refreshing, so I go from ,_, to O_O
Or if all fails,

Photobooth is a nice outlet to express stress ^_^
You can do what I did, & post one of them on FB.
Last one looks like Megamind's girlfriend right????

Okay so......... honestly, before the trip I thought it'd suck.
Cause I was hardly close to majority of the people..
BUT. It turned out to be a whole group of retards ^_^
So glad I signed up for this!!!!! Hahaha.
Even though I got damn homesick (+fever +vomitting) @ the end,
It was still really...... fulfilling, in some sense.

If I hadn't gone, I would've wasted my first 9 days away.
But instead, we managed to put so many smiles on those kids' faces..

Lighting: Bright as hell, so I used Landscape & AWB

Aperture: Around F8.0 to F10.0, or it'll be too bright
ISO: Uhm.... hahaha yep auto
Lighting: Normally AWB & Portrait. Doesn't matter w flash

Most of the time I use AWB cause it's easier to X-process!
Don't really like Daylight/Shade etc, waaay too orangey :S
Instead I change around w Portrait & Landscape.
Oh & I realised I missed out shutter speed.
But I don't really rmb, it depends on the lighting around.
Just remember: too bright, increase spd & vice versa. :-)

Okay so for my 50mm baby, basically......
My aperture is always damn low cause I LOVE bokeh.
When I'm lazy, I use No flash cause it's fast & pretty! :-)
& Portrait has a softer touch and really nice ~pink~ feeling.
Landscape on the other hand makes pix more ~vivid~.
OH OH & take note, 50mm works amazingly in low light :D
& for shutter speed, like I said, adjust accordingly~

& FYI, it's impossible to get this ^^^ kind of bokeh w kit lens.
Aperture's waaay too high to get this kind of gorgeous stuff.
Yeh & I kinda hate kit lens (on its own) la so...... yeh.

But the reason some of my pix look so "soft" & stuff,
is cause I like lowering contrast & X-processing slightly.

NAILS TUTORIAL #2 :-)

Finally got around to doing them!!! I'm so tired.
It's 2.30am hahaha I am craaaaazy I know pls.

#3: French manicure~
I used: H&M base coat, H&M white tip

1. Base coat! The transparent kind :-)
This is optional cause there's a second base coat later~
Btw this brand of base coat can be a top coat too ^_^

2. The cloudier, pinker base coat from H&M!
This is to give your nail beds a nice, healthy look :-)
You can use nude/light pink colours too.

3. Finally, the white tip! Sorry this was lousy :-(
But you essentially follow the white parts of your nails.
Curve up from each side & join them in the middle!

& you're done!!! Super easy :-)

#4: Floral nails~
I used: DIANA blue, Rubi Miami coral, Elianto pink, CG Kiwi Cool-ada

1. Base coat again. Importantttt when using blue/green/etc.
You don't want your nails to yellow like mine :'((((

2. Apply your light blue coat~ Got this particular blue from Taiwan..
This brand is like ridiculously cheap (2$/bottle???) & quality's good!
Everytime I go back I stock up like crazy :-)

3. Paint leaves in threes w the side of your brush.
Make sure there isn't too much polish so the leaves are thinner.
This was horrible, I'm sorry I can't really do it tht well just yet :/

4. Apply little blobs of the pink! Whichever pink you want's fine.
I applied the darker pink here, though I'd advise the lighter one first.
Kinda forgot & went "SHIT" right after I did it hahaha. You'll see why

5. Apply the second pink, making it look like petals!
How you wanna do this is up to you, cause it'll look great anyway.
Use the tip of your brush here, & yeh I redid the final img LOL.
Long story cut short, if it's a blue, put your light pink first!!!
But if it's a light colour like yellow, dark pink first will do fine.

& yeppp I had a hard time taking pix of this *_*

Happy Mother's Day to allllll~
This was my card for my momma cause she liked Halo ^_^

So yepppppp yesterday's outing @ Sentosa!!!
The sun was CRAZY SHIT. But it was still a fun day haha~
Played vball/frisbee in the sea (wtf), nua around like cats..
& to top it off, we had dinner @ the Vivo rooftop after!
But I was damn tired la, then in the end became abit dulan.

YEP spent today complaining about the weather,

We got Bronze, surprise surprise.............. hahahaha

Initially I didn't feel much about it.. In fact, I was pissed.
So pissed about how abrupt/ridiculous everyth seemed..
But looking @ us today, I really can't describe how I feel.
We sound amazing, w or w/o horns, just to start off.
& hearing what the juniors/Mr Ng has to say about us....

BIO TEST IS OVER X

Had a horrible time last night tryna pia all the bio I could. Think I'll manage a pass which is already good enough for me given the amt of (last min) effort I put in ;-) SO yep, it's my first hmwk-less night in way too long, & I spent it just chillaxing w my standard cup of tea.
