Take a listen to my new blogsong.

It's unconventional, & different from the ones I normally use. Because it isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it was just too hauntingly beautiful to resist. Been looping it since I first heard it, along with the entire album it came from.

So, today's one of those days when I'm just.. really emotional. I'm not sad, I'm not regretful, nor am I remorseful. I am just overflowing with feeling. Take for example, while listening to Bon Iver (p.s. they're amazing. They have the exact same effect Elliott Smith has on me.. just makes me wanna write a book, drink tea, take a long walk in the rain & cry) I just heard every lyric, every strum, every stroke of the vibraphone, every bass line, & it rapidly flushed from my ears into my mind, dispersing & taking the form of scattered thoughts.

Thought about how I wanted to cry when it struck 12am on 1st Jan, thought about the new people I'd be meeting this year, thought about making out to good music (mmm), thought about the next shade of lacquer I'm gonna buy, thought about learning the guitar, thought about how amazing today's weather is, thought about the last time I smashed a coconut (haha, are you reading this?), thought about how I'm slowly losing my touch for photography & nail art, thought about which FOB lyric I'd wanna get tattooed on me, thought about my life thus far. Thought about how I am afraid to forget so many things, because I like the feeling of holding so much in my hands & knowing it all once belonged to me.

It felt good, just sitting out here in my balcony w my Macbook & a really good coffee. Soaking in the warm sunlight laced with a light breeze. Feeling strangely content, & overwhelmingly grateful.

There really isn't much of a point to all this, I just really wanted to put all this down somewhere in case someone relates to it. That would be great. It's nice to remember, sometimes, that no one is actually truly alone.

I just finished giving myself the last manicure of my holiday :-)
& my first manicure of 2012 as well. It's really simple too~~
Plus a couple of camwhores cause I got boredddd outside.
